BUSINESS SERVICES at the Executive Retreat Center in Cumberland

|
The Center: Create and launch your newest idea from our National Historic Register home just one block from downtown Cumberland, Maryland -- home to new ventures since Washington was a colonel in the British Army. Your team can work and cook together with us surrounded by century old art embedded by George Truog in the ceilings, walls, windows, fireplaces, mosaic tile floors, and even the door knobs. The George Truog House is supported by the latest "always on" wireless broadband service. You and your team will be able to cook on the "always on" four oven Aga in the 1000 sq.ft. kitchen currently being designed by the exemplary kitchen design firm, Design Solutions, Inc. (The George Truog House was featured in HGTV's, "If Walls Could Talk" on Episode WCT-1303 and may be replayed from time to time.)
The Cumberland Area: While working at the center, you can take some time for fly-fishing, camping, swimming, skiing, golfing, hiking together in the nearby mountains or biking along the C&O canal that leads to Georgetown in Washington, DC. -- as long as you finish your marketing or business plan before you go home. You can also experience local theater and arts events. Information about the retreat center (at 230 Baltimore Avenue, Cumberland, MD, off of exit 44 from Interstate 68) can be found at the following websites or by calling 301 777-3069. For a history of the property and its etched glass entrepreneur see: http://www.cr.nps.gov/nr/travel/cumberland/tru.htm. Compare each of the artistic elements in the house to the etched glassware he distributed nationwide. Guests may stay at the fully furnished extended stay apartments at the George Truog Annex next door, at the Rocky Gap Lodge and Golf Resort 6 miles east or the Holiday Inn 1 block away. For the George Truog Annex deluxe corporate apartments and Cumberland area information and attractions, see http://www.mdmountainside.com/attraction.php?attraction=281. Guests are provided passes to the Cumberland YMCA.
